Embracing Change

The past year has been a great period of change in my life on all fronts. I've realized that change is a difficult, but necessary part of life. Today I try to embrace something different, something new for me. I don't want to overdramatize the event, but I feel that starting this blog is something significant for me. I've never set out to "publish" or share my thoughts in a written record, I've always been more confortable speaking my mind rather than writing it.

So why start this Blog?

First, I've come to the conclusion that blogging will help me articulate and compose the different zany ideas in my mind. It'll somehow force me to sit down and silence myself while I share my ideas. Writing, for me, has become a lost art. I know now is the time to rediscover this onetime passion of mine.

Second, I've made a commitment this year to fully embrace and master the different learning possibilities made available through technology and communications. It is my intention to learn how to leverage these technologies to deliver learning to a wider range of students.

Third, I need a venue to talk about and publish my thoughts on several subjects that are of intellectual and emotional interest to me. Hopefully, as you read my different posts, I can learn as much from your feedback as you do from me.

My apologies if I sound like a really green novice. I really feel like one now.
Over time I expect to be more comfortable with the medium. By that time I hope my blog becomes a sharing place for my friends and other like-minded people. I will share with you my different advocacies in future posts. For now I just want to say welcome, welcome change. : )
